Survic Construction is seeking a competent and motivated Site Engineer to oversee day-to-day construction activities on active project sites across Kampala and the greater Central Region. You will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure work is executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for setting out works, supervising subcontractors, monitoring progress against programme, and maintaining accurate site records. You will also liaise with clients and consultants during site visits and inspections, resolve on-site technical issues promptly, and ensure all activities comply with our health and safety procedures.
This is a hands-on role that requires physical presence on site, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lead a diverse team of artisans and labourers under time and budget pressure.
- - Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- - Minimum 3 years of post-graduation site experience on building or civil works projects
- - Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- - Working knowledge of AutoCAD; MS Project or Primavera is an advantage
- - Strong understanding of construction quality control and H&S standards
- - Membership with the Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE) is an added advantage
- - Excellent communication and team leadership skills
- - Valid driving permit (manual)
