Project Overview

About Jinja–Iganga Road Rehabilitation

The Jinja–Iganga Road Rehabilitation project involves the full reconstruction and widening of a 34 km section of the strategic Eastern Corridor highway. Works include earthworks, sub-base and base-course preparation, asphalt surfacing, bridge repairs, storm-water drainage channels, road markings, and the installation of solar-powered streetlights at key junctions. Survic Construction is acting as main contractor under a Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) contract. The project is expected to cut travel times by 40 % and significantly improve road safety along one of Uganda's most heavily trafficked freight routes. Completion is scheduled for Q4 2025.
